Report Says That ISIS Has Issued Threat Against WWE Event In Atlanta On Sunday

According to a report by the International Business Times, hacktivist group Anonymous has uncovered information that shows that ISIS is planning multiple attacks around the world tomorrow including one at a WWE event in Atlanta.

The International Business Times obtained a statement from Anonymous about the revelations.

“We only appeared now because our goal was to remain undercover and report everything to the right authorities and let them take all the action. But when authorities do not take action, Anonymous does. This part of the op started last Monday and has [been] and will be active 24 hours a day as long as the op is going on.”

Rise News cannot independently confirm the claims made by Anonymous.

The FBI issued a statement to WSBTV in Atlanta:

“The FBI is aware of reports of an alleged threat that includes an Atlanta, Georgia venue and event.  While we take all threats seriously, we do not have specific or credible information of an attack at this time,” the FBI statement said. “We have, however, made the proper notifications as we continue to work closely with our law enforcement and private sector partners to keep our community safe.”

The International Business Times said that the shadowy hacktivist group’s reporting has indicated the following location and events as potential targets for ISIS attacks tomorrow.

Islamic Terrorists Behead Malaysian Kidnap Victim After Not Receiving Ransom Money

Filipino based Islamic extremists beheaded a Malaysian man they had held hostage for six months after a large ransom demand was not paid to return the man to his home.

The man, identified as Bernard Then Ted Fen according to an AP report was kidnapped back in May with another man at a seafood restaurant in the city of Sandakan in the Malaysian state of Sabah.

Militants from Abu Sayyaf, a ISIS sworn (and formerly al-Qaeda) linked Islamic extremism organization based in the Philippines carried out the kidnapping and execution in a move that is not usual for the group.

Then’s beheading is reportedly the first the group has ever carried out against a Malaysian.

From the AP:

“The United States and the Philippines have listed the Abu Sayyaf as a terrorist organization for kidnappings, beheadings, extortion and bomb attacks. The al-Qaida-linked militants have been weakened but have survived more than a decade of U.S.-backed offensives.

The Abu Sayyaf has been suspected of kidnappings two Canadians, a Norwegian and a Filipina from a marina in the south in September. Militants who identified themselves in an online video as belonging to the Abu Sayyaf have demanded more than $60 million for the release of the three foreigners.”

Brig. Gen. Alan Arrojado, commander of the Joint Task Group Sulu, told GMA News Online (a Filipino news organization) that Then was buried soon after he was executed.

“Accordingly, the body was immediately buried in the vicinity where they beheaded the victim,” Arrojado told GMA News Online.

There are also indications that the beheading might have been precipitated by a military assault against the group.

“It appears that the beheading pushed through almost simultaneously with the bombardment and rocket fires,” Arrojado told GMA News Online

Arrojado also said that Filipino troops are actively searching for the terrorists who adopted the flag of ISIS in late 2014.

Military Blimp On The Loose And Drifting Over Pennsylvania

Update: 3:35 PM EST

A Baltimore TV station is reporting that the blimp is on the ground in an unpopulated area of Millville Pennsylvania.

From WBAL:

“Around 3:15 p.m., NORAD officials told WBAL-TV 11 News reporter Kim Dacey that the blimp was on the ground in an unpopulated area of Millville, Pennsylvania.”

The Baltimore Sun is reporting that a military blimp has come loose from its mooring in Maryland and is now drifting over Pennsylvania.

The blimp is reportedly connected with NORAD’s surveillance of the East Coast of the United States.

Two fighter jets from a nearby National Guard base are tracking the untethered Army blimp according to information from NORAD.

Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, PA has cancelled classes for the day due to a “widespread” power outage. There have been multiple reports that the blimp’s tether  knocked out power in parts of the town.

Rise News talked to a spokesperson at the University who said that there was a large outage in the area but could not confirm if it was related to the blimp.

The blimp is really more of a stationary helium filled balloon called a Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System aerostat or JLENS. From Raytheon, a company that produces the JLENS: “The helium filled aerostats, each nearly as long as a football field, carry powerful radars that can protect a territory roughly the size of Texas from airborne threats.” WATCH: A video from Raytheon explaining how JLENS work https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8hkpQ8ujyM&app=desktop

Breaking: Ben Fields Fired From Richland County Sheriff’s Department

Update: 12:22 PM EST

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced the firing of school resource officer Ben Fields after determining that he violated proper protocol while arresting a student in a South Carolina High School.

Lott made the announcement at a press conference in Columbia Wednesday afternoon.

Lott made it clear that he believed that the student in the now viral video caused the incident to occur in the first place. He also said that Fields was justified in arresting her for her disruptive behavior but that he crossed a line when he used non standard techniques to bring her into custody.

“I do not feel that the proper procedures were used at that point,” Lott said. “The maneuver that he used was not acceptable.”

Lott also said that he told his own daughter (who is in the 7th grade) that police officers are people too who sometimes make mistakes.

“He should not have thrown the student,” Lott said. “He was not trained to throw that student.”
