This Gun Loving Miami Teen Is In Jail On A Child Porn Charge After His Dad Turned His Phone Over To Police

What You Need To Know About This Story:

-An 18 year old student at Miami Krop Senior High School is in jail after his father turned over the teen’s phones to police.

-Sean Mesa was arrested on charges of possessing child pornography and a charge of improper display of a firearm after police were given his phones to look at concerns his father had regarding his gun use.

The Miami Herald reports that federal and local investigators knew about Mesa before his father turned over the electronic devices because of various social media posts he has made in the past.

-Mesa’s father was apparently motivated to turn over the phones after the Parkland shooting.

-From the Herald

“Mesa came to the attention of U.S Homeland Security Investigations’ Violent Gang Task Force, which forwarded his Instagram and Snapchat photos “recklessly displaying firearms and pointing them at the camera,” according to an arrest warrant.

Miami-Dade Schools Detective John Messenger went to Krop High on Tuesday to try to “engage in a friendly conversation to understand what Sean Mesa’s fascination with firearms was.”

Mesa, however, bristled — telling him ‘he likes guns and it was his right to post on social media whatever he wished.'”

-After the police visited Mesa at school, his father agreed to turn over the phones to authorities.

-During the search on the phones, the US Secret Service found video of a 10 year child being sexually abused. Mesa allegedly had shared in a group chat.

BREAKING: Ex-Dolphin Arrested After Threatening High School, NFL Players In Bizarre Instagram Post

UPDATED: 4:44 PM EST

What You Need To Know About This Story:

-Former Miami Dolphins player Jonathan Martin was arrested Friday after he allegedly posted a threatening message on Instagram that caused a Los Angeles High School to close.

-Martin allegedly posted this message to his Instagram story:

-The message references Harvard Westlake High School and shows a shotgun with multiple rounds of ammunition lying on a surface. It reads, “When you’re a bully victim & a coward, your options are suicide, or revenge.”

-The message also tags current NFL players Mike Pouncey and Richie Incognito.

Incognito and Pouncey allegedly bullied Martin while they were all members of the Miami Dolphins. That incident became national news and resulted in an NFL investigation after Martin went public with the allegations.

-Martin said in a message announcing his retirement from football in 2015 that he once attempted suicide during his NFL playing career.

Harvard Westlake High School closed Friday as a precaution. LAPD said that the closure was because of actions by a “former student of the preparatory school [who] apparently used Instagram to say he wanted to seek revenge for alleged bullying he underwent when he attended one of the school.”

-In a statement obtained by the Los Angeles Times, Harvard Westlake said: “The safety of our students, faculty, and staff is always our primary concern. So, out of an abundance of caution, we made the decision to close school today,” the email read. “The school’s private security team is working with the Los Angeles Police Department, which is present on both campuses. With these precautions in place, we believe there is no imminent threat to our campuses or our school community.”

Pouncy is still on the Miami Dolphins while Incognito plays for the Buffalo Bills.

WATCH: This FL State Senator Compared Spoons To AR-15s. Wait…What?

The Florida Legislature is not exactly filled with our best and brightest, as we’ve discovered in recent months.

But be that as it may, we are still able to be shocked by some of the dumb ass things that are said in Tallahassee.

Cue: Senator Dennis Baxley from Ocala.

In an interview with VICE NEWS, Baxley, who is well-known for his pro-gun views tried to deflect a reporter’s question about an assault weapons ban into some sort of weird morality lesson involving silverware.

You’ll just have to watch it to fully grasp the mind-bending stupidity:

Yes.

So in Baxley’s world, politicians should never pass any laws because it is very possible that someone is getting fat right now eating Haagen-Dazs.

The NRA Just Blamed “The Media” For What Happened In Parkland

Seriously.

From The Washington Post

“After a week of media silence following the school shooting in Florida, the National Rifle Association went on the offensive in its first public response to the massacre, pushing back against law enforcement officials, the media, gun-control advocates and the teenage survivors of the massacre who have pleaded for stricter gun laws.

“The NRA also released an advertisement Thursday morning that said ‘the mainstream media love mass shootings’ and claimed that members of the media benefit from covering mass shootings in an effort ‘to juice their ratings and push their agenda.’”
